For couples looking for privacy, luxury and time together, we recommend staying in Michamvi at Shukran Palace for all four nights.
The idea is simple: instead of moving between different hotels to fit more places into five days, we make the resort part of the honeymoon.
Shukran Palace offers ocean front accommodation, multiple swimming pools, spa facilities, several dining options and a beachfront setting in Michamvi.
The itinerary therefore stays deliberately light. You have time to enjoy the property, relax by the ocean, book a spa treatment, have a special dinner and choose only a few experiences outside the resort.
Why We Plan This Honeymoon Differently
We plan Zanzibar around the experience you actually want.
If you want nightlife, restaurants and lots of activities, we would recommend a different location.
If you want easy access to several northern coast experiences, we may recommend Kendwa or Nungwi.
For this itinerary we aimed at giving you somewhere beautiful and quiet, a really good hotel, privacy, and time to relax together, with just a few special experiences.
We don’t choose activities first and then fit your honeymoon around them. We choose the right setting first, then add the experiences that make sense.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Zanzibar and Settle into Michamvi
Arrive in Zanzibar and meet your private driver at Zanzibar Airport or the ferry terminal.
Travel to Michamvi and check into Shukran Palace.
Then, slow down.
There is no scheduled excursion today.
Take time to settle into your room, explore the resort, enjoy the pool or walk along the beach.
Have dinner at the resort and enjoy your first evening together without needing to be anywhere else.
Overnight: Shukran Palace
Day 2: A Day to Enjoy Each Other
Today is intentionally free.
Enjoy breakfast and spend the day at the resort.
Swim, relax by the pool, walk along the beach, read, enjoy a long lunch or simply spend time together.
Shukran Palace has several pools, spa facilities and multiple dining options, giving you plenty to enjoy without having to leave the property.
Day 3: Private Blue Lagoon Snorkeling, The Rock & a Relaxed Evening
Start the day with a private snorkeling experience at Blue Lagoon, including time to enjoy the lagoon and see the famous starfish. The experience is private, allowing you to enjoy the water at your own pace rather than following a large group.
After snorkeling, you can continue to The Rock Restaurant in Pingwe for lunch. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy one of Zanzibar’s most famous dining locations without turning the day into a full sightseeing excursion.
After lunch, return to Shukran Palace and leave the rest of the afternoon completely open. Relax by the pool, spend time by the beach, enjoy the spa or simply stay in your room and enjoy the resort.
In the evening, choose how you would like to end the day. You can have dinner at the main restaurant, choose Italian dining at Ciao Bella or enjoy the Pan Asian menu at Blue Sushi. You can also spend some time at one of the hotel’s bars before retiring for the night.
Day 4: Gypsea Experience & Time to Relax
Today is about another memorable experience without making the day feel rushed.
Enjoy the Gypsea Experience, then return to Shukran Palace for a relaxed afternoon. There is no need to add another major excursion. You can swim, enjoy the beach, visit the spa, have a quiet lunch or simply spend the afternoon together.
The evening is yours. You may choose another dining experience at the hotel, arrange a special private dinner or simply enjoy a quiet evening at the resort.
Day 5: Departure
Depending on your departure time, you may have time for one last swim, a beach walk or a relaxed morning at the hotel.
Your private driver will then transfer you to Zanzibar Airport or the ferry terminal.
Your Zanzibar honeymoon comes to an end.

This itinerary is not designed for couples who want to spend five days moving around Zanzibar.
It is designed for couples who want to slow down.
That is why we choose Michamvi and Shukran Palace rather than putting you in a busier northern beach area and then trying to create privacy through the itinerary.

Why do you recommend Shukran Palace for this honeymoon?
Because this version is designed specifically for couples who prioritise a quieter luxury experience. Shukran Palace offers ocean front accommodation, pools, spa facilities, several dining options and a beachfront setting in Michamvi.
Will we spend the whole honeymoon at the hotel?
No. We include selected experiences so you can see another side of Zanzibar. But the itinerary deliberately gives you substantial time at the resort.
Why isn't Stone Town included?
Because we don’t believe every honeymoon needs every famous Zanzibar attraction. Stone Town is relatively far from Michamvi, and adding a full day there would create considerably more travel.
If Stone Town is important to you, we can include it or recommend a different itinerary structure.
Can we stay in Nungwi for all four nights?
Yes. We can create a Nungwi based version, although some activities may involve longer transfers. We will advise you on whether changing accommodation makes sense based on what you want to see.
Can we make it completely private?
Yes. Private transfers, private activities and selected private dining experiences can be arranged where available.
Can we customize the entire honeymoon?
Yes. Accommodation, location, activities, dining experiences, transport and the amount of free time can all be adjusted.
